Training and practicing as an RMT fostered a curiosity in human anatomy and function that certainly informs my yoga teaching and practice. I first started yoga in high school when my doctor suggested it to help back pain, and I am so grateful she did. Connecting to my body, breath and inner trust has helped me through so many difficult times in life.
I completed my 200h yoga teacher training in Costa Rica in 2005, trained as a registered massage therapy at Sutherland Chan in Toronto in 2009, then trained in Craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Academy shortly after.
A passion for yoga led me to practice and train in Toronto for years, creating a diverse experience I am thrilled to share with the community of Tottenham, and whomever else Is inclined to practice with us at Detox Flow.

After a knee injury left me unable to participate in the team sports I knew and loved, my physiotherapist recommended I try yoga to find more mobility post-surgery. I'd dabbled in yoga in the past, but found a home in myself and a local studio that I hadn't felt before. Being a classroom teacher, I could see how beneficial this practice could be for all ages, so I set out to obtain my 200-Hour Hatha certificate and Rainbow Kids Yoga certificate in 2016, and haven't looked back!
I've since received training certificates for Restorative Yoga, Teen Yoga, an additional 300-Hours in Hatha, Yoga for Differently-Abled, and most recently, Yoga Nidrā. I have co-created a 100-Hour Kids Yoga Teacher Training, and continue to bring yoga to all ages in many capacities. You can expect functional movements, accessibility, and a killer playlist when you come to class, and I look forward to exploring this beautiful practice with the New Tecumseth community, even down to the littlest yogis out there!
